Arizona at 60: A photographic essay, by Keith McCluskey
While being driven back from the Grand Canyon, I shot a roll of black and white film from the window of a moving vehicle. I built these images into an animated photographic essay, with the images appearing in sequence. The aim is to capture a sense of time through a series of still images. Unlike video, which presents images so quickly that they are undefined, this essay attempts to expand the clearly defined static images to capture a sense of the time and motion I experienced on that ride.
