Teapot

Here is the Gropius-designed teapot I attempted to model.

The model of the teapot was difficult to create, since it's curvilinear geometry required tools I hadn't previously used. This model was built and rendered using SolidWorks.

This is the physical model. Unlike the other models, this one is printed of ABS plastic. The support material for this model was a starch-based product that dissolves in water. This makes it very easy to make complex parts, with no worries about removal of support material.

A rendering, done in SolidWorks, of the teapot. SolidWorks is a very versatile program, providing excellent parametric modeling, and also rendering and basic animations. For small part manufacture, it is ideal. This example illustrates the ease of making material choices, by rendering each.
